Privacy Policy
Who we are
LVIN LLC is headquartered at 3780 Kilroy Airport Way, Suite 650, Long Beach, CA 90806. LVIN is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. If you have questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can reach us at info@lvinlife.com.
Personal Information We Collect
2.1 Account & Booking Information
When you book a trip or create an account, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, home address, emergency contact details, and trip preferences (e.g., hotel selection, room configuration, roommate/group assignments).
2.2 Payment Information
When you make a booking, including bookings paid through a Payment Plan, we (or our payment processor on our behalf) collect and store your payment card information in order to:
• Charge your deposit and any scheduled payments at the time of booking;
• Automatically charge your card on file according to the payment schedule you select, typically
every 30 days until your balance is paid in full;
• Process additional voluntary payments you choose to make; and
• Apply fees associated with returned or declined payments.
Payment card data is processed and stored by our payment processor in accordance with applicable payment card industry (PCI) security standards. LVIN does not store full, unencrypted card numbers on its own systems
2.3 Government-Issued Identification & Travel Documents
Because travelers are required to present valid government-issued photo identification at hotel checkin, LVIN check-in, and venue entry, we may collect or verify identification details such as your name, date of birth, and ID type as needed to confirm eligibility (including the 18-and-over age requirement for all trips) and to match your booking name to your identification.
Where applicable to your itinerary, we may also collect or request information related to passports, visas, ESTA or other entry authorizations, and immunization or health documentation required for travel. We collect this information only as needed to assist with trip logistics and do not retain copies of these documents longer than necessary for that purpose.
2.4 Travel Protection & Insurance Information
If you purchase optional travel protection (such as Student Deluxe with CFAR) through LVIN, your billing address or ZIP code is used to determine eligibility — for example, travel protection is not available to residents of New York, and a New York billing ZIP code will result in that portion of your booking being refunded. Information related to your travel protection purchase, including any claims you file, is otherwise governed by the applicable insurance policy and is shared with the insurance provider, not retained or controlled by LVIN.
2.5 SMS & Phone Communications
If you opt in to SMS communications from LVIN, we collect your phone number and consent status. Consistent with our SMS Terms & Disclosure, this information is used to send you:
• Trip updates and travel itineraries;
• Transportation schedules and changes;
• Event reminders and important announcements;
• Emergency notifications;
• Payment reminders or account-related information; and
• Customer support follow-ups.
Message frequency varies based on your travel status and inquiries, and you may receive up to 15 messages per week regarding billing, appointments, or trip logistics; standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by texting STOP. Phone numbers and SMS consent data collected for these purposes are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
2.6 Booking Transfers & Group/Rooming Information
If you request a trip transfer, we collect the intended recipient's full name, last name, and email address in order to process the transfer. If you participate in group rooming, information about your room assignment and group members (such as names and hotel selection) is visible to and shared among members of your rooming group, since group setup requires all members to be added by a Room Leader.
2.7 User-Generated Content & Feedback
If you tag LVIN in social media posts, upload photos or videos to our platform, or send us media by email or messaging app, that content may be used by LVIN for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes on our website and social channels, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Similarly, any feedback, comments, or suggestions you submit to us may be used by LVIN without confidentiality obligations or attribution, as also described in our Terms & Conditions.
2.8 Website Usage Data
Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments
form, as well as the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (a "hash") may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar service's privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/ Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), since visitors to the site can download and extract any location data contained in images. Embedded content: Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, or articles) from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website directly, and that third-party site may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you are logged into that website.
How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information described above to:

• Facilitate trip transfers between travelers;
• Communicate with you by email and SMS about your trip;

Who We Share Your Information With
We share personal information with the following categories of recipients, only as necessary to deliver your trip and related services:
• Payment processors, to charge and process deposits, installment payments, and refunds;
• Hotels and accommodation providers, to confirm reservations and verify identification and
payment at check-in;
• Airlines and other transportation providers, to arrange and ticket group flights;
• Venues and event partners (e.g., dayclubs, nightclubs), to verify wristband and entry eligibility;
• Travel protection/insurance providers, if you purchase optional travel protection;
• Trip transfer recipients, limited to the information necessary to complete a transfer you request;

We do not share SMS consent data or phone numbers collected for SMS communications with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. Any financial arrangement between an original booker and a trip transfer recipient is a private transaction between those individuals; LVIN is not a party to it and does not receive or process related payments beyond the applicable LVIN transfer fee.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Our services are offered to persons located in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. Depending on your trip destination and the vendors involved (such as hotels, airlines, or venues located in Mexico), your personal information may be transferred to and processed in a country other than the one in which you reside. Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated, third-party spam detection service.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to have your name, email address, and website saved in cookies for your convenience on future comments. These cookies last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies; this cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days, and screen options cookies last a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. Logging out removes your login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved in your browser containing no personal data — only the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely so that we can recognize and automatically approve follow-up comments rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For registered users, we store the personal information in their user profile for as long as the account remains active; users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except that usernames cannot be changed. Website administrators can also view and edit this information. Booking, payment, identification, and SMS consent records are retained for as long as necessary to deliver your trip, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase personal data we hold about you, subject to our need to retain certain data for administrative, legal, tax, or security purposes (for example, completed booking and payment records).
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@lvinlife.com.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including PCI-compliant handling of payment card data through our payment processor. Your IP address is recorded during password reset requests and checked against automated spam and fraud detection services; if you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Age Requirement
LVIN trips are restricted to travelers who are 18 years of age or older at the time of travel, and our services are not directed to or intended for use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@lvinlife.com so we can address it.
