Booking flights doesn’t have to be a hassle.
Spring break is just around the corner, and you (hopefully) got the destination locked in.
Next step? Booking your flight! Finding the perfect flight doesn’t have to be a headache.
Whether you’re heading to Cabo or Rosarito, these tips will ensure you score the best deals, save money, and arrive ready to party.
1. Start Early, But Stay Flexible
The golden rule of booking flights: the earlier, the better. Spring Break is a peak travel time, and flights fill up fast. However, staying flexible with your travel dates can make a big difference.
Use this in your favor:
- Spring Break in Cabo San Lucas is from Mondays to Fridays.
- Spring Break in Rosarito is from Sunday to Thursday.
For Cabo Spring Break, we offer a 5th-night option to increase your flight options!
You can book your 5th night on the second screen after selecting your hotel or logging into your account if you are already an LVIN traveler.
Pro tip: Use flight comparison tools like Google Flights, Skyscanner, or Hopper to find the cheapest days to travel.
2. Know Your Airport Options
Cabo San Lucas: Fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD).
Rosarito Beach: Fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN), and we’ll take you on a short drive across the border.
For Rosarito Spring Break, you must be at San Diego airport before [TIME], as we will leave together on the bus to Rosarito.
We collected these flight numbers for you 😉

Make sure you choose flights that give you enough time to connect with shuttles or group transportation.
3. Set Price Alerts
Don’t have time to keep checking flight prices? Let technology do the work. Platforms like Kayak and Google Flights allow you to set price alerts for your preferred route.
You’ll get notified when prices drop to snag a great deal without constant searching.
Pro Tip: Be patient! Prices often fluctuate, so wait for the right moment to book—but don’t wait too long!
4. Pack Light to Save
Most airlines charge extra for checked bags, so pack light and stick to a carry-on whenever possible. You’ll save on fees and avoid the stress of waiting for your luggage to arrive.
Luckily, swimsuits and bikinis barely take up any space in the suitcase.
If you want to dress to impress and need a checked bag, book a flight that includes it.
Usually, booking a flight without checked bags and adding additional bags to it are more expensive than packages that already include them.
5. Consider Group Discounts
Traveling with friends? Some airlines offer group discounts for parties of 10 or more. While LVIN handles many group logistics for you, it’s always worth asking your favorite airline about deals if you’re planning to travel together from day one.
6. Double-Check Your Info
Before you hit that “book now” button, ensure your travel details match your LVIN itinerary. Double-check your name (as it appears on your ID or passport), travel dates, and destination.
Cabo San Lucas: Fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD): Check-in is at 3 pm. If you arrive before that time, you can leave your luggage at the hotel and come back at check-in time.
Rosarito Beach: Fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN). Make sure you arrive at the specified time for shuttle service.
7. Don’t Lose Your Flight – Arrive Early
Sounds obvious, but trust us, it’s not. Spring Break travel can get hectic.
Arrive at the airport at least two hours early for domestic flights and three hours for international ones.
This gives you plenty of time to check in, clear security, and grab snacks for the flight.
For your last day, you are responsible for waking up in time for your checkout, but we know how hard you all party on the last night, so we’ll set a few reminders.
8. Ready, Set, LVIN!
Once your flight is booked, all that’s left is to get excited! Log into your LVIN account to finalize your rooming groups and add-on experiences and check your itinerary.
The countdown to Spring Break is officially ON.
Booking flights for Spring Break doesn’t have to be stressful. With a bit of planning and these tips, you’ll be on your way to the most epic vacation of the year.
